EUROGATE Bremerhaven Welcomes New Transatlantic Service

first_imgEUROGATE Container Terminal Bremerhaven has received a new weekly transatlantic service, jointly launched by shipping lines CMA CGM, Hamburg Süd and United Arab Shipping Company (UASC).The new pendulum service that links Asia, the Caribbean, the US East coast and Northern Europe was inaugurated in Bremenhaven on May 27th with the arrival of CPO Miami containership.The containership features a length of 262 metres and a transport capacity of 4,255 TEUs.The route is Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Cartagena, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, New York, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Southampton, New York, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, Cartagena, Qingdao.The service will operate with a total of 15 ships in the 3,800/4,800 TEU class, nine to be provided by CMA CGM, five by Hamburg Süd and one by UASC.“Just a few months after the successful launch of our LIBERTY SOLO service, the CMA CGM Group is now extending its portfolio with the addition of another transatlantic service. Meriaura transports research vessel

first_imgThe research vessel was loaded on the deck of Meriaura’s Mirva VG in Loviisa during May.From Belgium, the boat will be shipped to Mingan Island Cetacean Study center in Canada, where it will be an important tool used in marine mammal research.Meanwhile, during January 2019, HLPFI reported that the deck cargo carrier Enough Talk was scheduled to join the Meriaura fleet.The carrier has since terminated the time charter party made with Rauma Cata because of delayed delivery and incomplete technical readiness of the ship.meriaura.filast_img read more
