Allen Peake introduced a bill Thursday that calls for a statewide vote on whether or not to legalize the cultivation and distribution of marijuana for medical purposes.In 2015, the Republican from Macon led the efforts that produced a state law that permitted cannabis oil for some medical issues.Peake’s new law doesn’t specify where the pot could be grown or who could grow it, saying a referendum needed to come first.Gov.
