5inch LG Optimus Vu and LG Miracle leaked

first_imgMobile World Congress 2012 is just around the corner, and while you won’t see the Samsung Galaxy S3 make an appearance there you will see plenty of other new hardware on display. Hardware like the LG Optimus Vu and LG Miracle, both of which have made an early appearance on the web ahead of the Barcelona expo. The 5-inch Optimus Vu made its way to Youtube, where a teaser video provides a glimpse into the phone’s looks and acknowledges its untraditional 4:3 aspect ratio. As far as the rest of the specs go, rumored hardware includes a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 8MP rear-facing and an unspecified front-facing camera. It’s also running Android 2.3 instead of ICS.While the 4:3 display and its 1024×768 resolution stand out amongst a sea of 16:9 competitors, it remains to be seen whether that’s a good or bad thing. 4:3 displays are widely regarded as being superior for e-Reading, but most mobile apps and games aren’t built with the CRT-friendly resolution in mind.As for the LG Miracle, it’s a more humble Windows Phone device. Under its unassuming chassis lies a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of internal storage, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and NFC support, as well as HSPA connectivity. The Miracle also features 8MP rear and VGA front cameras and a 4-inch display. It’s probably safe to assume that LG is targeting a very low price point with this phone, considering that its specs aren’t all that different from the original HTC Incredible.LG fans are expecting to see both phones at MWC, so we’ll know then whether these reported specifications line up with reality — and possibly get some carrier and pricing details, too.More at The Verge and Pocket Nowlast_img read more
