The Malone Center isone of the Whiting School’s 25 Interdisciplinary Centers andInstitutes. Founded in 2016 with a $30M endowment gift, it drives aproblem-focused research agenda that applies engineering approachesto improve the efficiency and efficacy of healthcare. The MaloneCenter Director will report to Ed Schlesinger, Benjamin T. RomeDean of the Whiting School of Engineering and will have a scholarlyrecord deserving appointment as tenured professor in the WhitingSchool (with a secondary appointment in the School of Medicine oranother division of the University possible as appropriate).The Director position – The Director guides theoverall strategic development of Malone Center programs and workswith faculty across Hopkins to develop and grow efforts in thehealthcare space. Beyond Hopkins, MCEH’s Director will fosterconnections with the healthcare industry as part of the Center’sefforts to expand its base of resources and relationships.
